..Combination....

The temporary Sunday School teacher was struggling to open a combination lock on the supply cabinet.
She had been told the combination, but couldn't quite remember it.

Finally she went to the pastor's study and asked for help.
The pastor came into the room and began to turn the dial.

After the first two numbers he paused and stared blankly for a moment.
Finally he looked serenely heavenward and his lips moved silently.
Then he looked back at the lock, and quickly turned to the final number, and opened the lock.

The teacher was amazed. "I'm in awe at your faith, pastor," she said.
"It's really nothing," he answered. "The number is on a piece of tape on the ceiling."

I've been extremerely busy this week and faced lots of challenges...Really need to depend on Him for strength..Had 2 First production for Nestle seafood lasagne 1Kg and 220g, had to came at 4am Tue and Wed. Stay up to 10pm yesterday to do the Jenny Craig Thai Fish Cake Line trial...As usual everything can go wrong...Was a bit of panic about the pasta's shrink, had a bit of drama last nite which ended up with unsuccessful LT....Well, I learn that in 'real world' things do not always happen as we expected and when it doesn't, it's not always mean bad, as we learn more through trial and hard times....After all challenges make us become a stronger person....

I had a very good times with Bel and Mel yesterday...We went to late night shopping in city....Never stop thanking God for them...Thank you so much for the friendship...I really treasure both of you...=)

My friend….
In the midst of daily struggles
A smile will cross my face
Because I am reminded
I’m just passing through this place

And when I’m weak from trials
I’ve a friend that prays for me
Then I turn my eyes to Jesus
And my spirit is set free
This friend is always constant

Always ready when there’s need
With encouragement and kindness
At “God’s” unfailing speed
I will give to “God” all glory

To be blessed with such a friend
My cup is overflowing
And my joy …it has no end

Yes, friend …you are a treasure
And this poem’s for you to know
I appreciate you always
For every seed you sow.

Productive Singleness

When we are willing to allow God to use this season of our lives for His purposes, we discover an incredible truth: Singleness doesn't have to be a time of passive and futile waiting. Instead it can be an exciting adventure of active preparation.

Singleness can strengthen our inward character qualities.
A relationship is not meant to make us into a whole person-only Jesus Christ can make us a whole person. Marriage should never become that gold medal we strive for that will finally make us "enough." We must learn to be "enough" right now, just as we are, in Christ alone. While getting married someday may bring us great joy, we truly do have a reason to be happy and content no matter what season of life we are in-because of what Jesus Christ has done for us. True contentment can only be found in an intimate love relationship with the Lord, not in anything else, including a romantic love story. Singleness can teach us this contentment. In this season we can learn what is means to have peace and joy in Christ, no matter what our circumstances may be. And in a culture that is always longing for something more, "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6, NIV).

Gaining the Strength to Stand Alone
Loneliness is a required course for leadership.God was using the loneliness to teach us complete dependence upon Him. We could no longer look to other people for our confidence. We had no choice but to find my courage and hope in Him. This kind of total dependence on the Lord was preparing me to become more effective for His kingdom.A true leader must have enough backbone to stand alone, even when the crowd wants to take the easy road home. A true leader cannot be dependent on companionship for his or her security, but must learn to trust in God alone. Singleness can give us this kind of backbone-courage, confidence, and leadership skills that any effective Christian must learn.

Discovering His Gentle Arms of Love
I am like a deer, You are like the water.
I run to You, like a son to his Father.
I felt so alone, like a moth without a flame,But You ignited, and to You I came,And that's forever.
I felt so alone like a ship without a sea.

But You gave me water,You took my hand and said to me,"This is for eternity."
I'll never be lonely,I'll never be lonely with You.

I've got this feeling that You're here to stay,And I know I'll never be lonely with You.
It's so exciting to know that though we may be singing a solo in life, we are never truly alone! Singleness is an opportunity to allow Christ's gentle arms to encircle our hearts and discover how very much He loves us.

Singleness allows time to focus on practical preparation.
Discovering and Developing Talents and Life Skills. God has created us each with unique gifts, abilities, and heart desires. He has a master plan for each of our lives. Singleness is a time to seek Him with an undivided, undistracted heart. When a relationship comes into our life, often who we are as an individual gets swallowed up, and our identity becomes wrapped up in that other person. Being single is an opportunity to discover who God has made us to be and what He has called us to in this life. What are the desires of your heart? To train as a musician or athlete? To pursue a college education? To backpack across the country? To go into missionary work? Maybe it's even to simply spend a season at home serving your own family and community in practical ways. Singleness can be the perfect time for developing life skills and discovering how to use your talents for the Lord.

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring.
He sends you a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk , He listens.
He can live anywhere in the universe , but He chose
...your heart .
Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!
God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

..FoR aLL My GiRl FrIenDs...

I'm reading this book called ' Do you think I'm beautiful'- the question every Woman askes...I'm still in 2nd chapter of the book, but it's a really good...highly recommended for woman...=)

Every woman longs to know from the deepest place of her heart, ' Oh, God, do you think I'm beautiful?'
These are some of the lines from this book.......

Oh, God, do u think I'm beautiful?

No1 else has been able...so is it U?? R U the 1 who longs 4 me- the1 who can fill this desire to be known? There is so much more inside me, a great well of passion and dreams. A place I never let myself go. Is it safe to trust U with the rest of my heart? What will U do with me if I show U everything? Every desire? Every longing? Every doubt? Every weakness? If I am exposed before U, will U still love me? Is Your forgiveness truly irreversible? Is Your grace really free? Will You hold me and care for me in the darkness?

Oh God, holds me, pls hold me and tell me that U love me.
Tell me that I am desirable.
Tell me that U'll fight 4 me.
Tell me that I am beautiful

I heard Him speaking in my heart...
Yes, I think U R beautiful.
Your desire has served its purpose; u hv finally brought yr true heart to Me. R u tired of the weight of pretending? R u tired of hoping that some1 else could fill the place that was meant 4 Me? I see u, all of u, and u don't hv to hide anymore. I see yr sin and I see yr flaws and I still desire u as My own. I am crazy about u. I am the answer 4 yr longing. The 'more 'that yr heart waits 4 is Me

...PrAyEr FoR JaKaRtA BoMB..

Precious Lord Jesus, Wonderful God, Empowering Holy Spirit,Hear our plea, O Lord.
In honesty and truth, we have sinned and continue to sin as a nation.
Except for a tiny remnant, we, as your people, have turned from you.
Forgive us, Lord.Forgive us and protect us.
Your wrath will most surely be poured out upon us as a nation for we have fallen do deeply into sin and degradation.
Please, Lord, protect those who cannot know you because of circumstances and who cannot protect themselves.
Please do not let the truly innocent suffer.
Please do not let those who do not fully understand you suffer your wrath for they do not know what to do or what to think.
There are so many simple and innocent men, women, and children.
Please let these people be spared.
Bring forth your mercy for the little ones so fragile and so tender.
We have all sinned. We have all gone astray.
Lord, bring all of us, as a nation, to our knees in prayer and humility.
Revive us and bring us to You in humility and thanksgiving.
The hour is late and the clock ticks on as we approach these final minutes.
Take your hand and touch the blind, the sick, the crippled, the homeless, and those who do not know how much You love them.
We make these pleas with hurt in our heart.
We make these pleas with a sense of foreboding about
what is to happen to so many.
In your love, let not the terror of the evil one strike us, but touch our hearts and show us your love,
All these things I pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.Amen

(yesterday nite, Amel's Birthday at Terazza cafe, the salmon ceaser salad is so YUMMY, the place is also so nice and comfy...thanx mel ;))

TaLkInG WiTh GoD

God : Hello. Did you call me?
Me: Called you? No, ... who is this?
God : This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.
God : What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.
Me: Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.
God : Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.
Me: I understand. But I still cant figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
God : Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: why are we then constantly unhappy?
God : Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.
Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
God : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
God : Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
God : Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.
Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?
God : Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why cant we be free from problems?
God : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength.Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading....
God : If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
God : Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
God : Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.
Me: What surprises you about people?
God : when they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me" Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on theside of the truth.
Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.
God : Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.
Me: How can I get the best out of life?
God : Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
God : There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.
Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New Year with a new sense of inspiration.
God : Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust Me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.

Virtuous Woman

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the characteristics of a virtuous woman of God. In God's Word, Ruth is the only woman described as virtuous.
"Virtuous" is the Hebrew word chayil which means strong in all ways. Who can find? is a rhetorical question asked for thoughtfulness. It does not mean that it is impossible to find a virtuous woman - it just means that they are rare.
Her price is far above rubies. A ruby is a very rare and costly gem stone. It is a rare thing to find a virtuous woman of God. She is a priceless gem.

Proverbs 31:11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he [she] shall have no need of spoil.
The virtuous woman is trustworthy. She and her husband have all sufficiency. The Peshitta text reads her food supplies never diminish. She has no need of spoil - The family is provided for and they have all sufficiency in all things.

Proverbs 31:12 She will do him good and not evil [mischief] all the days of her life.
The virtuous woman is of sterling character. She faithfully stays with her husband all the days of her life and is good to him because he is a man of God just as she is a virtuous woman of God. They do no evil to one another. They are good to each other as partners in living the Word of God.

Proverbs 31:13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
The virtuous woman is ingenious and industrious. She locates the materials she needs to make clothing for her family and she is a hard worker.

Proverbs 31:14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
The virtuous woman of God does not settle for second best. She provides the best quality food for her family even if it means going to far lands to get it. She is energetic and demands the best.

Proverbs 31:15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
The virtuous woman of God is not lazy. She is dutiful and compassionate. She gets up early and fixes food for her household and for those that work for the family.

Proverbs 31:16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard [garden].
The virtuous woman of God is very versatile. She is a good business woman. She examined the value of the field, made the decision, and purchased it. She planted a garden and worked with her own hands to provide more of the best for her family.

Proverbs 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
The virtuous woman of God works out and takes care of herself. She is robust and healthy. She keeps herself physically fit.

Proverbs 31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
The virtuous woman of God is attractive and sexually exciting. She has a high opinion of herself. The candle represents God's presence in the home. She does not let the candle go out. She keeps God at the center of her life.

Proverbs 31:19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
The virtuous woman of God is skillful and thrifty. She is able to make clothing for herself and her family.

Proverbs 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
The virtuous woman of God is merciful and charitable.

Proverbs 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet [double garments].
The virtuous woman of God is fearless and she believes in abundance. She cares for her household and makes sure they have double garments to protect them from the cold.

Proverbs 31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. The virtuous woman of God dresses sharply. She takes care of herself. She is a good seamstress, tasteful - a refined woman. Silk and purple are the garments of royalty.

Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
The virtuous woman of God is a credit to her husband. Beside a great man of God stands a virtuous woman of God. Because of her treatment of him, her husband is popular and is recognized as a leader in the land.

Proverbs 31:24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
The virtuous woman of God is confident in her abilities. She adds to the family income by using her skills to produce and sell clothing.

Proverbs 31:25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
The virtuous woman of God is well respected by others. She is honoured for her qualities.

Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
The virtuous woman of God applies the knowledge she has with kindness. She watches what she says. She is wise, discrete, and kind.

Proverbs 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
The virtuous woman of God is a good mother. She takes care of her own house and is not a busy body. She is energetic and practical.

Proverbs 31:28 Her children [sons] arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
The virtuous woman of God is respected by her family. She is a good wife and mother.

Proverbs 31:29 Many daughters [not in the text] have [gotten riches and] done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
The virtuous woman of God is the best of the best. The strongest of the strong. She is very honorable.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised [given thanks].
"Favour" is "beautiful speech." It is like sweet talk without God at the center. "Beauty" is "perfect ripeness." "Vain" is "temporary." Sweet talk outside of the Word is deceitful, and perfect ripeness is temporary: But the virtuous woman of God puts God first in her talk and in her life. She is praiseworthy.

Proverbs 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
The virtuous woman works at being a great woman of God, bears fruit, and is thanked by all and recognized by the leaders in the land.
